The FIMI X8 TELE MAX folds down to a compact 204 x 106 x 72.6mm (without propellers) and unfolds to 242 x 334 x 72.6mm, with a diagonal size of 372mm. It weighs approximately 760g with the standard battery, and about 832g with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. This drone can ascend at a maximum of 5 meters per second and descend at 4 meters per second, reaching flying speeds up to 18 meters per second under optimal conditions.
It can fly up to an altitude of 5000 meters and hover for around 29 minutes. Maximum flight time reaches up to 38 minutes with the standard battery and 47 minutes with the Battery Plus, depending on wind and flight style. The maximum tilt angle is 35°, with wind resistance up to 12m/s. The drone operates between 0–40°C and supports GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS satellite systems.
Hovering accuracy vertically is ±0.1m (with vision positioning) or ±0.5m (with GPS), and horizontally ±0.3m (with vision) or ±0.5m (with GPS). A 12-pin expansion port allows for extra device integration.
Camera System
The main wide-angle camera uses a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with 48MP resolution, 79° field of view, f/1.6 aperture, 4.71mm lens length (equivalent to 24mm), and supports ISO 100–6400 (photo) and up to ISO 25600 (video, auto). It records 4K video up to 60fps with a 100Mbps bitrate and supports MP4 format for video and JPEG/DNG for photos. Shutter speed ranges from 2s to 1/8000s. It also supports 1–5x digital zoom and requires microSD cards from 8GB to 256GB (U3 or above).
The secondary telephoto camera uses a 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor with 13MP resolution. It offers a 21.5° FOV, f/3.0 aperture, 14.46mm lens length (equivalent to 120mm), and digital zoom from 5x up to 30x. It records video at up to 4K/30fps.
Gimbal and Control
A 3-axis mechanical gimbal ensures smooth footage, with pitch control from 10° to 90°, roll and yaw stabilization of ±40°, and angular vibration control within ±0.005°. The controller weighs around 373g, measures 204 x 91 x 47mm, and has a battery capacity of 3900mAh with up to 8 hours of battery life. It supports Lightning, USB-C, and Micro-USB connections for smartphones.
Battery and Charging
The standard Intelligent Flight Battery has a 4650mAh capacity and weighs about 260g. It uses a 3S Li-Po configuration and stores 53.7Wh of energy. The Battery Plus offers a 5000mAh capacity, weighs around 333g, and uses a 4S Li-ion setup, providing 72Wh of energy. Both operate between 0–40°C. Charging supports USB-C input from 5V to 20V, with fast protocols including PD and QC3.0. The 45W charger outputs various voltage options to support different devices.
App Support
Compatible with FIMI Navi 3.0, the drone works with iOS 12.0+ and Android 9.0+ devices.
